I've Just Got to Tell Someone!

When Jesus healed two blind men, he wanted them to keep it to themselves. Instead, they told everybody they knew about it. What happened to them that they could not keep quiet?

· They followed him . Had they not been willing to follow Jesus, they would have missed the miracle. Yet these men were determined not to get discouraged and give up. They even followed him into the house. Do we get discouraged too easily when seeking our answers from God? Or do we expect Jesus to work in our lives without "taking him home" with us?

· They cried aloud . Not willing to let pride or propriety get in their way, they didn’t care who knew their plight. It didn’t bother them if they bothered someone else. Jesus was their last and only hope. Their loud and boisterous approach to Jesus teaches us that we can’t let other people determine when and how we approach Jesus for healing and help. Also, there is something important about asking “out loud.” We need to be willing to stake our hopes and reputations on Jesus!

· Jesus questioned their faith . It was important for Jesus to know the condition of their faith. Do you really believe I am able to do this for you? That I am the One you seek? When they verbally stated their faith, he healed them. Jesus may allow things that will cause you to question your faith, and that will give you opportunity to affirm your faith. So, don’t give up!

These men found it impossible to keep silent when people asked, “Hey! What happened to you?” Whenever Jesus touches us, we change. People notice. When they ask, let's spread his fame!
